First experience at the Greene Turtle in Middletown was a hit! Service by our server Rachel was attentive, fun and very professional. She made our evening a great experience at GT. The floor manager was friendly and made a point to stop by our table.Our food was delicious and free on Veteran's Day as my husband and I both served. What more could we ask for? Loved the atmosphere and we will definitely be back.
All Green Turtle locations are good places to visit but this particular one is great! It is a very large establishment with a large bar, great atmosphere and good service staff. They have two separate outdoor eating areas and an indoor section where the walls disappear to open the entire area t9 the outside when the weather is nice.
This was my first visit to the Middletown, DE Green Turtle ( on 11/21/2017). It's a nice restaurant and sports bar. Good menu. Plenty of televisions. Not noisy. You can have a conversation with friends. But, my lady friend wanted to use the restroom. She found a unisex restroom. It was not clean, so she exited. Fortunately, she found a regular ladies restroom which was clean. Her plan 'B' was to walk to the nearby Kohl's.
Ok, my family of 3 got there around 7ish, we were told a 15 min. wait, no problem. While we are waiting,A guy came in from outside and said to the hostess " I'm just going the bar". He came back 5 min later and told the hostess that he would like a table now for him and his 3 friends. He waited 5 min. and off to a table she took him. Really? So the hostess must have noticed me and said we're cleaning off a table for you now just a few more minutes. Strike one. Strike two was the amount of time to get our drinks..water, (must have been special water) then the appetizer,then our food, and finally our check. In all , almost a two hour event. They were not busy, but the service was not good. The food , however, was good!! Foul tip? We probably would of had dessert but we didn't want to spend the night! So over all yes 3 stars. So maybe another chance we'll see.
I've been to other locations before and they were good. This location however not very good. I understand it was late but the service was okay and the first drink had something floating in it. I ended up getting something else. They weren't busy so the service should have been better. Maybe try a different place around the area.
