Best sushi in North Delaware. Yes the service is slow since its a Mom and Pop outfit, but Oak, the chef, is obviously an Itamae of the highest degree.
Sushi was good - but everything else was just a disaster. I have never had flat beer from a can... and twice, the beer was flat, needed to get bottles instead. When talking to the server, she practically finished my sentence when I told her the issue with the beer - tells me this is a common occurrence. Service was extremely inattentive - both servers were interested in other things, not their customers. We had to ask for our salads to be brought out. I think they may only have one sushi chef, took forever to get our two dishes - again, sushi was good, but everything else sealed their fate. Top it off with a bill for $100 - we won't be visiting again.
The first time we ate at this Middletown Steak house, I would have rated it 5 stars; yesterday, thinking back on our last experience, we invited our Son and his girlfriend for an evening out at this steakhouse; needless to say, we were very disapointed with the chef as well as the food; the chef was on the dry site compared to the one at the other table, all were having a good time, while at our table, not much fun. My son ordered scallops and steak, he got the steak way before the rest of his food, the scallops came and he go three scallops, my gave him some of hers because she felt bad for him, the rice tasted a little burnt, my shrimp had a funny taste; all in all, after this experience I will think twice before going back. Either the chef was new and not experienced enough? When you pay $22/person, you expect something better. LJD
