I know him for 16 years. He take care of my health patiently, I always have questions for my conditions and concerns.... believe me!! I drive him crazy sometimes..hummmm! May be all the time, and he always answers me with a smile. His medical assistants treat me well, They always have a space when I arrive without calling, And the wait is always fun and enjoyable .
If I could give this doctor a 0 I would. I am really disappointed with him. I am not one to write any reviews, especially not a bad one. I went in about three years ago because I was taking birth control as directed and found out I was pregnant. I asked Dr. Elmedkhar if he could send me for a blood test and ultrasound to find out how far along I was since I had no idea I was pregnant and I wanted to make sure the baby was okay. He flat out told me he didn't see the point in doing all that because if a baby were to have defects you would not be able to tell very early on. I again explained to him that I was on birth control and hadn't missed a dose, which is why I wanted to know exactly or have an idea of how far along I was so that I was sure of the baby's health and whether I was "very early on" or further along and could see an obgyn. He proceeded to ask me if i was trying to plan an abortion or something since I kept asking him for a blood test! I was shocked. I had been seeing this doctor for three years before this and never had a problem. I had even referred people to him and gained trust with him. I felt betrayed and disgusted he would think something that terrible, especially considering he had met my other child in the past. I walked out of the office and never went back. I am writing a review now because it has bothered me since. So there you have it! Maybe he was having a bad day but either way it was extremely unprofessional and disgustingly rude. I have not recommended this doctor since, and will never recommend him again!
I am very pleased with Dr Elmedkhar. He's been my doctor for about 5 years and has cured every problem I've had. When I had back surgery he came to see me on his own time. He takes his time to listen and is never in a hurry. I would recomend him to anyone. He ranks right up there with the best Top Doc's of Delaware.
I took my 14 year old to see him for the very first time, we have never been to that location before. He seemed very nice, was smiling and making jokes with my other daughter but when it came to answering questions he really couldn't give me any info that I didn't already have from goggling symptoms. He actually pulled out a little book and was looking something up there. I suggested that due to her symptoms it could be UTI and he said he doesn't think so, he didn't even suggest to do an office pee test to see, I had to ask him and when it came back that she does have it only then he wrote out a prescription. I was in shock, still am. I asked him to give me a script to take her to a lab for testing. I will not be going back for sure, the whole place looked very strange.
